for Governance Reforms and Public Policy Development

A Structured Framework for Governance Reforms

The Institute for Good Governance is an independent, non-partisan, online platform dedicated to promoting the welfare of the people of Pakistan by advancing policy reforms based on principles and practices of good governance, with emphasis on transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement in decision-making.

Our work is guided by a National Charter for Governance Reforms, a living framework of specific, actionable reforms across key thematic areas. The Charter continuously evolves and develops in response to emerging challenges and opportunities. It provides a shared national reference point for reform. It is the foundation for everything we do.
We believe that good governance cannot be achieved by government alone. It requires sustained engagement from citizens, institutions, professionals, academia, media, civil society, and the private sector—working together in a spirit of shared responsibility and national purpose.

When you participate in the Institute's activities, you join a growing network committed to exchanging ideas, shaping practical solutions, and strengthening a culture of responsible governance in Pakistan. Together, we contribute to a future that reflects the enduring vision of the Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and our founding fathers.
