Refunds Policy of the Institute for Good Governance

Thank you for supporting the Institute for Good Governance. This Refunds Policy applies to all payments made through our website iggpk.com, including membership fees, associateship fees, event registration fees, and donations.

1. Membership / Associateship Fees

Category Refund Eligibility
Annual Membership / Associateship Refunds are not available after the Membership or Associateship has been activated and you have been granted access to Institute resources (Working Groups, policy papers, forums, etc.). If you cancel within 7 days of payment and have not accessed any member-only content, you may request a refund (see Section 4 below).
Life Membership / Associateship Life fees are non-refundable because they are a single payment for a lifetime of benefits.

2. Event Registration (Workshops, Conferences, Webinars)

  • Cancellation by you: If you cancel your registration at least 10 days before the event, you will receive a full refund minus a 10% processing fee. No refunds are available for cancellations made less than 10 days before the event.
  • Cancellation by the Institute: If the Institute cancels an event, you will receive a full refund of the registration fee.

3. Donations

All donations made to the Institute for Good Governance are non-refundable. Donations are voluntary contributions and are not payments for services or goods.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund (if eligible), send an email to goodgovernance@iggpk.com with the subject line "REFUND REQUEST". Include the following information:

  • Full name (as used during payment)
  • Associate/Member ID (if any)
  • Date of transaction
  • Transaction ID / receipt number (if available)
  • Reason for the refund request

We will review your request and respond within 10 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 15 business days.

5. Exceptions

Refunds will not be granted for:

  • Accessing member-only content (e.g., downloading policy papers, participating in Working Groups) before requesting a refund.
  • Technical issues on your end that are not related to the Institute's website or payment gateway.
  • Change of personal circumstances or change of mind after the cooling-off period has expired.

6. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or credit card provider without first requesting a refund through the Institute's process, we may suspend your account and membership rights pending resolution. Abuse of the chargeback process may lead to permanent removal from the Institute.

7. Changes to This Policy

The Institute reserves the right to modify this Refunds Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
